The LHT Group Wins Brandon Hall Gold for Healthcare Compliance Training

Brandon Hall Gold Award

Columbus, OH, November 1, 2014 — The LHT Group, a company dedicated to the custom development of corporate training, was recently recognized for excellence in compliance training by the Brandon Hall Group, an independent analyst and consulting firm.  The gold award was based on the company’s work for Johnson & Johnson’s worldwide compliance training program for healthcare business integrity.  Brandon Hall’s Excellence Award is a long-standing recognition initiative for the corporate learning industry.

2013 Brandon Hall Gold AwardLaunched in September 2012, the complex initiative was designed to train employees on compliance risks, rules, and regulations.  In addition to presenting highly technical information, the program’s content had to be deliverable across a wide range of browsers, browser versions, and mobile devices.  The training content was translated into 22 different languages and deployed internationally on the LearnShare content server; visuals also had to be appropriate and globally relevant.

LHT worked with the company’s subject matter experts and legal department to develop interactive, scenario-based courses that could be easily understood, without requiring healthcare compliance or legal backgrounds.

Each course focused on an area of high risk and included several commonly encountered real-life scenarios, each with multiple levels of detail, subplots, and supporting learning resources that developed depending on learner decisions and actions.  Employees could choose scenarios most applicable to their job roles and work requirements.

“Effective compliance training is one of the biggest challenges for corporate training organizations,” said Mike Cooke, chief executive officer of Brandon Hall Group.  “The Johnson & Johnson initiative showed that it is indeed possible to create compliance training that addresses technical subjects in ways that are engaging and relevant to employees at all levels and geographies.  We were also impressed that the courses could be delivered on mobile devices – important for today’s increasingly mobile workforce.”

“We’re very proud of this program and the award,” said Dan Longhouse, president of The LHT Group.  “We believe the program’s success is based on the use of real-life scenarios, interesting problem solving, and everyday language – a big contrast to the typical compliance training.”

“Despite the fact that the training had to be deployable on virtually any PC or Mac, browser, or tablet, we had an amazingly smooth global rollout, thanks to the expertise of our development team.”
