The 2013 Lectora Users Conference once again delivered some of the best in custom eLearning. With the launch of conference mobile app, all-star keynotes like Jane McGonigal, and more than 20 breakout sessions, the phrase “Everything’s bigger in Texas” holds true–even in the eLearning world.
While there are so many benefits to attending the conference, here are few highlights:
- Keynotes – Four incredible speakers created inspirational presentations. First Erik Wahl inspired us to find our untapped potential in a visual metaphor with on stage painting. Next, Tom Wujec, Autodesk, taught us to foster innovation through teamwork. Then the Piano Guys kept things moving with a custom musical note made just for the eLearning conference. Finally, Jane McGonigal closed the conference with inspirational ideas to transform eLearning through gaming.
- Trainings – Lectora held multiple training sessions for custom eLearning. Pre and post conference trainings included fundamentals, instructional design, flypaper interaction development, and games. If that was not enough, Lectora also provided an “ask the experts” session as well as multiple concurrent sessions on tops such as Tin Can, iPad course design, using video game design, and building scenarios.
- Mobile App – As the icing on the cake, the LUC 2013 App delivered everything conference goers needed. Conference essentials boasted features such as special announcements push notifications, vendor directory, schedule, and map. More importantly, the social networking functions connected users to each other through all the major platforms, e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Foursquare, etc..
Collectively, we can truly say that the 2013 was a success and we look forward to The 2014 Lectora User Conference March 31 – April 4 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles!
